What would be the downside for them? and start fresh next year whether it's here or somewhere else. Before the season starts, nobody has a goal to make it to the NIT. They've been practicing since October so they don't need to practice for a few more weeks. There are highly rated players on the team. NIT might actually be an embarrassment for them. Times have changed. It's NCAA tourney or bust for some players I bet.
