Granted it's a small sample but kind of a loaded one; first game out was against #1 Purdue. Whether he can do so consistently is an open question but its the same question that would face May, Miller, or whomever. We know the players like him and reportedly recruits, especially in Ohio, like him as well. The downside of hiring him is pretty much the same as the downside of hiring anyone else--it doesn't work out. That's kind of the norm though. In my lifetime only 1 coach, Gary Williams, left of his own accord. On the upside unlike other candidates we know Jake can win here. That's not insignificant.
