to be "very run oriented" because of the weather later in the season. Tailoring the team's offensive scheme on the possibility of playing 2-3 games in cold or wet weather never made sense to me. Maybe it does for more northern teams like Minnesota or Iowa but not for us IMO. I feel this was part of the reason for the Big Ten's dismal Bowl record in the 70's and into the 80's.
