Ignoring fact that approx 35% of NCAA bball champs this century are non P5....

I was mostly watching the other tournament last nite and it struck me that if Charlie Baker's proposal for $30k per 'student athlete' for all of campus athletes goes forward then NCAA Hockey would be reduced to 9 D1 teams. I would suspect that the remainder of the 64 teams would hesitate allowing 'paid athletes' from competing on their campuses or against their amateur teams.

There is the old saying about geese, golden eggs and murder that comes to mind.
