prevented the shutouts. Shows you need a great D and a little bit of good fortune to skunk a team.

Last shutout was Cincinnati all the way back in 2019.

: There's probably only two opponents on the schedule that are likely shutout victims anyway, the two MAC schools to open the season. Iowa, even without Brian Ferentz, seems like a potential victim (although Ohio State couldn't shut them out WITH Ferentz). Maybe throw Indiana in there, too. But shutouts in B1G play don't happen that often; other than a few Rutgers shutouts, the last one was Wisconsin in the 2014 B1G Championship Game massacre.

: OSU hasn't had 3 shutouts in the same season OR consecutive shutouts (which they'd have to get to shutout Akron and WMU) since 2009.

: Three is a very tall order.
