...things would have had to gone amazingly well for a NFL team to take him college OC to NFL HC. Even with his resume.

A good run or even just a good year at OSU would have more likely yielded a...BC level job or maybe another a step above.

Also as others in the thread have noted there are family issues at play as well. Can't be ignored.
