He watched it come closer then went inside to take cover. It hopped over the building, or at least the part of the building he was in. Growing up in the 80s, I was fascinated with tornadoes in general and this one in particular. : previous November. I was 6 months old. They were 22 year olds. Dad raced the storm to the house from Dayton. Beat it by a minute. Mom had me in the bathtup with a mattress over us. Dad dove on top and we survived unscathed. Two houses away, just down the street was total destruction.
