...but also football. but it takes the collection of good players that while maybe not super marketable or interesting without being attached to Ohio State or Michigan or Alabama etc to make all those programs really good. which generates the revenue that makes the departments bloated and the grifters in administration inside these programs wealthy.

but of course they're not going to say that.

for them to actually divide the revenues like how it is done in actual pro leagues would kill the golden goose for everyone. it's quite a conundrum.
