Only once in Urban's tenure was OSU worse than 100, in 2013. What happened? Coaching changes! Also, look at the trend from 2014-2016, the pass defense improved and went down because of elite recruitment talent; however, 2017-2018 took some hits because of early entrants to the NFL. But, it held a bit because of elite talent that led to the #1 pass defense in 2019.

Yet again, because of early entrant to the NFL, 2020 was the worse yet and probably would have not been much better in a full regular/postseason schedule. However, it speaks to the lack of overall numbers of elite talent being recruited in 2017-2019 that led us to this in 2020. Future looks bright, though, with the hay in the barn and the 2021 class looking great. GO BUCKS!!!
