Earle was right and wrong. Coop was right and wrong (m)

Earle was right about need for toughness, strong Run game O and D, and SCum game is a must win to have a great season.
Cooper was right that recruiting is extremely important, as is team speed and top level strength and conditioning, and keeping modern.
Urban got most if not all of these right.
Earle is not to be idolized, but what he did know and espouse are fundamentally important.
For too many the SCum game became an assumed win. Thus loss was bad. The way OSU lost made it 100x worse.
This was a Coop type of devastating loss. Way more significant than points on a scoreboard.
Ask yourself a question right now. What is the current program’s identity? If one us honest, it is an identity that is as close to the Cooper era identity than anything seen since Woody arrived in Columbus. BTW, talking team and coach identity, not beating up sister’s of the poor.
