I'm guessing that Syracuse lawyers are going over his contract with a fine tooth comb to see how they can part ways with him.
Similarly to how things went down at PSU where they fired Paterno and didn't let him finish the season, I don't think board of a major university wants to have these types of things dictated to them.
I'm guessing they'll quietly announce that he decided to retire sometime later this spring or summer.
