I think the sweet spot for building things came in the early to mid 20th century...

I am working on the design/build for a replacement building at Y-12. They originally built the facility in the early 1940s, and it took them a year to design/build it. The replacement facility design has been going on for 15 years, and we expect to have it built in another 6 years. Cost is about $7-8B. This building is a fraction of what ND is.
